The Gem of Burden

You've ventured too deep into the bowels of the machine & found a lost artifact - the gem of burden. This accursed relic does not want to be bought to the surface & will cripple your climb. Venture up to reach the exit, but beware, the gem has bound itself to your life force & will not let you venture for long without its new ~victim~ master.
